It is not VA or government software, an accredited representative, legal or medical advice, a claim decision, or a promise or prediction of what VA will decide.

The proof is the path from source text to criteria logic to an explanation you can inspect.
Start with the governing rule
The current eCFR text is the primary source. VA forms can corroborate what is measured, but they do not replace or override the regulation.
Build deterministic criteria logic
Condition rules compare structured facts with hand-authored criteria. The same documented facts follow the same rule path, and missing facts stay missing instead of being guessed.
Keep the source and explanation distinct
RatingScope links to the official source, identifies the rule used, and keeps plain-language explanation separate from official regulatory language and disclosed gaps.

Boundaries and accountability
What trust requires beyond the calculation
Methodology, limitations, privacy, and independence are all part of whether the guidance deserves confidence.
AI does not rate or predict
AI may assist with plain-language wording. It does not generate, choose, predict, or override a percentage or claim outcome.
Updates and corrections are part of the method
The research standard schedules at least annual source review and calls for immediate review when a source changes or someone reports a discrepancy.
Privacy depends on the feature
RatingScope does not claim every interaction stays local. Structured assessment answers pass through its server to calculate guidance, while saved answers and results use browser storage. Condition Tracking is separate: Saved only on this device and browser. Never sent to RatingScope. Lost if you clear browser data or switch devices or browsers.

RatingScope is not affiliated with VA. Optional donations support the current model, but they do not unlock features or change guidance. Current free access is not a promise that access can never change.
