Cross-Device Transfer

Device sync is unavailable. You can use the RatingScope vault export and restore feature to move vault data between devices.

Tamper-Evident SHA-256 Checksum: During restoration, the engine mathematically validates the embedded payload digest. Any modified or corrupted bytes will immediately abort decryption.

Web Crypto API Native Subsystem

Leverages hardware-accelerated, native browser cryptographic primitives (`window.crypto.subtle`). Avoids third-party JavaScript crypto libraries susceptible to supply-chain tampering.

PBKDF2 Key Derivation (100,000 Iterations)

Your passphrase is never stored. A 256-bit symmetric key is derived on-the-fly using 100,000 rounds of HMAC-SHA256 and a 16-byte random salt to prevent brute-force attacks.

Zero-Knowledge Network Invariant

No backend servers, cloud databases, or telemetry services have access to your keys or plaintext. If you lose your passphrase, your data cannot be decrypted by anyone, including RatingScope.
